YouTube

In this Clip I am showing how easy it is to take things from the Resource Center, but when you go it that metal detector thing goes off so easily for no reason. So pretty much I just grab a magazine and see if i get caught, but lucky for me I do not get caught and I do return the magazine. This YouTube experience was prettying interesting cause I am more of the type of person that does not make the movies I prefer to watch them, So when it came down to it, I found it very hard to come up with the right idea to make an eye catching video clip that had to be a minimum of fifteen seconds, After walking around the campus brain storming for ideas to have that eye catching video, but I have never been the type to come up with an idea that would be entertaining or even creative. So when I was going through my brain storming I passed by the library and a thought popped in my head, I would always wonder why the censors near the door would always go off for any little reason and then other times it would never go off when it needed to, So I wanted to see how easy it would be to take something from there, and find out if I would get caught or have someone say something to me. But as I was taking the magazine nothing happened and I walked out of there with no problem, but shortly after I returned the item back to where it belongs.

My Experenses Virus

For the past three days I noticed that my Firefox has been acting incredibly weird, I couldn’t look at pictures because apparently every picture on the face of the internets contained errors (more like my Firefox contained errors) and then yesterday as the friend and I were playing Empire Earth, my computer kept locking the game up and kicking me out of it; which of course was very irritating since I had built an impressive amount of towers and then of course the enemy was coming over to knock them all down and I had to defend the land I had originally started talking from them, dammit! After we gave up on the game, the friend noticed someone logging into PayPal from my computer, although I wasn’t checking it. After a six hour process of running virus scanners it turned out that I had not one virus, but thirteen! Thirteen viruses, six hours and now my computer is finally all clean and Firefox is acting normal again.

Twitter.....

Twitter….. a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers). Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends or, by default, allow anybody to access them. Users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, Text or external applications. The service is free to use over the Internet. But yet twitter has its flaws, keep in mind that every time you do a status update, or publish something new but equally irrelevant on your Twitter feed, if you do it from your cell phone your carrier will charge you for every text message you send. And unless you have a plan that includes text messages, Twittering can be an expensive hobby, as Jason learned the hard way. As the masses get addicted to Twitter, people will start texting all sorts of things to the service, only to later realize that they shared some information that they shouldn't have. While you Twitter, just keep in mind that you are broadcasting whatever you're doing to the whole world (or at least your friends and colleagues). Please don't tell us about what diseases, which you got them from and who you've been doing what with. The only difference I see between the two is that Twitter makes your private conversation with another person, a conversation that is in all likeliness irrelevant to anyone else reading it, available for everyone to view. It is a generally recommended practice for bloggers to disclose some information about themselves. Some personal disclosure allows your audience to have a closer connection with you when reading your content. There is of course the problem of disclosing too much information, or all the wrong kind of information about you.

Windows Lab

When we are in the windows lab I would like to know more about the inter-working of the system, learn about the shortcut keys like how Mac has theirs.
When it comes to the interworking of the windows system I noticed that it’s a little more complex then the Mac system, so because of that I would like to know how to work and understand it from a Mac users point of view so that when I transition from Mac to PC I know how to accomplish the more important task on both systems. Now when it comes to the shortcuts on PC I noticed that you have to press more keys then a Mac dose. So I would like to know how to change the default so that I do not have to press so many keys to accomplish one task. Another things that I would like to learn about windows when we are in the windows lab is how to use Microsoft office and help bride that gap so that I also know how to perform the proper procedures for both windows and Mac with it comes to that software, you can tell that there are some things on PC that there is not in Mac and the other way around so if I can learn those key points that would be very helpful. The last thing that I would like to learn when working on the windows system is how to create and plant viruses it seems like a fun and interesting things to do and to understand, when I had a PC I always used to get viruses but never really understood why people sent them or created them so if I can learn about them and achieve a better understanding for them that would also be great.

Challenges

The biggest challenge for me in Computer applications is the transition from pc to Mac. When reading the text that is given for this class it is very hard to do about a quarter of the assignments on there due to the fact that I only own a Mac, and the exercises in the text has pc format as the default. So when it comes to some of the assignments that we have to do I am not really sure what to do, and as a result I have to try to figure it out myself or try to find a similarity that will help complete the assignment. So it would have been very helpful if the book had both versions, because some of the task that cannot be done on Mac can be done on PC, and the things that cant be done on the PC can be done on the Mac.
If the book introduced both formats I think this class would be easier to handle the task at hand.

Music

The fact that I have the command of a complete or orchestra in my computer I would like to make or hear music to my liking. The type of music that I enjoy to listen to, and do not get tired of is a fusion of Alternative rap and indie rock. Certain artist or group that I enjoy listening to that supports that type of genera is Gym Class Heroes. Since we have such software as garage band to make our own music that fits our own taste such as my taste, which is the mixture of Alternative rap and indie rock. With this software I can create and master the genera that I enjoy and make that perfect sound that I can listen to again and again. So the fact that I have a whole Orchestra at my finger tips my musical abilities and taste can grow and expand for all types of music.

Fear of the web

The things that scare me about the Internet are the risk of identity theft, spam, and viruses. Identity theft is a big deal to me when it comes to the internet due to the fact that I could be inputting information about my self, my credit, or anything else that is very important, then someone who is very good at hacking or working for the place that I am inputting the information at could use it for there own advantage. When that happens I could be charged for things that I would never use, I could also be accused of something that I have never done, and because of that my number one fear of the internet is identity theft, one moment you can be safe but once you click submit someone else can be living your life and ruining it. Spam is another fear when it comes to the Internet due to the fact that spam is getting harder to detect. I have a fear of falling for one of the spam adds, and that add being fake then I lose valuable information due to a fake advertisement that I thought was real. The other fear that I have is Viruses. Viruses can be a big issue, cause each virus is different. I would not like to receive a virus on my personal computer that has a lot of valuable information and data, and with the click of a button I do not want to lose all of that, at the same time I do not want to click or receive a virus that can make my computer malfunction. If I stumble on another type of virus that would corrupt my computer them have to pay to have it fixed all because someone had to make a virus and make other peoples life harder then they need to be.

Voice

Nerd Boi Cafe is a cyber cafe with a new age twist. This café is a fusion with a classic winery with a new age cyber mix. With this café I plan on branching out to those new up and coming companies that are based with the web, so that they have a more sophisticated meeting place with those owners with a more enhanced taste for life. But at the same time we would also have a establishments available for the common person who has a interest in wine and likes to surf the web. The café would have a long assortment wines from your “Two buck Chugs” to your very high-end wines. At the same time we would have different types of set ups when it comes to computers we would have everything from your gaming set ups for you gamers, Mac’s for you Mac lovers, and you also would have your run of the mill PC for your common every day person. Along with all the wines and computers we would sever little appetizers or light dishes so that you do not eat anything to heavy to distract you from your current project at one of our many computer set-ups. So the Nerd Boi Café would be for the common nerd to the CEO.
